The latest evolution of my handcrafted banana stand combines elegant design with everyday practicality. Handcrafted in my Sussex workshop from sustainably sourced British hardwoods, it features a solid Oak base, a beautifully steam bent Ash stem and a handmade solid brass hook.
Designed to keep bananas hanging freely, the stand helps reduce bruising and encourages even ripening by allowing air to circulate around the fruit. The sturdy Oak base provides excellent stability, while the graceful steam bent Ash stem showcases the natural beauty and versatility of steam bent timber.
Each banana stand is individually handcrafted and finished with food-safe Odie’s Oil to nourish and protect the wood. The natural grain and character of the timber ensure that every piece is unique, making each stand a practical kitchen accessory as well as a distinctive decorative piece.
